Grain moisture is a critical parameter for the decision on when to thresh and the type of storage required. Various moisture determination methods are available, with different levels of accuracy.
The CLAAS grain moisture meter is a compact, accurate measurement instrument for whole grains. Just throw a handful of grains into the device, and in a matter of moments the CLAAS grain moisture meter will read out the grain moisture level, accurate to ± 0.5%. The compact size of the CLAAS grain moisture meter means you can have it with you on the machine at all times. So keep things under control at all times for threshing, drying and storage operations.

When storing grain, it is essential to pay attention to the temperature in order to detect any increase which could compromise the quality of the grain or even lead to self-heating.
Correct storage and the associated regular monitoring of the temperature in the store play as great a role in quality control and assurance as does determining the moisture content before harvesting.
With the CLAAS temperature probe, you can measure the temperature of harvested material in flat and tower silos quickly and easily. It is the "safety first" method to prevent spontaneous combustion and potential quality losses in grain silos.
